Creating Gourmet Herb Butter

There are many sauces, sautés, and other things that chefs use in order to create the ultimate gourmet experience. One of the many recipes that chefs use is gourmet herb butter. There are numerous uses for gourmet herb butter. It can be used as a sauté, a sauce, gravy, a dip, a glaze, or even a soup. It all depends on the intentions of the chef that creates the gourmet herb butter. Here, you will discover how you can create gourmet herb butter for your dishes.

There are many specific dishes that gourmet herb butter compliments. Some of the most popular dishes that are used in conjunction with gourmet herb butter include various types of pasta, vegetables, meats that are steamed like fish, and other items. It is important to keep a large amount of herb butter on hand to ensure that when you prepare a meal that it compliments you are able to use your resources. Once you prepare gourmet herb butter, it can be frozen. Gourmet herb butter freezes well and lasts a long time.

The first thing that you should understand when you create gourmet herb butter is that you are allowed the freedom to use the herbs that you wish when creating this particular recipe. Many people who fancy gourmet cooking enjoy this quality in creating gourmet herb butter. You can choose to use one particular herb, or you can mix as many herbs as you wish in creating gourmet herbal butter. There are many herbs that you can choose from. These herbs include garlic, chives, dill, tarragon, rosemary, parsley, onion powder, thyme, and others. Many herbs, like garlic and parsley work very well together. It is your choice of whether you want to use one, two, or ten herbs in the ingredients for your gourmet herb butter.

Once you choose and mix all of the herbs that you will use to create your gourmet herb butter, you should then gather the other ingredients that you will need. These ingredients include one stick of soft butter, one tablespoon of lemon juice, and a small amount of salt. You can choose to add as many herbs as you like, but for the purpose of this particular ingredient, you will want to select at least one quarter of a cup of the herbs that you have selected. You may also choose to use sea salt instead of table salt. Some people only use a pinch of salt, while others may select a teaspoon of salt.

You should take the herbs that you have selected, and mix it with the soft stick of butter with a fork. It is important not to melt the butter initially. Once these ingredients have been carefully combined, you should then add the remaining ingredients. Once all ingredients are mixed, you can then shape the gourmet herb butter into a shape that will allow you easy access to the amount that you need for future meals. You may choose to shape it into a log, or a square shape. You can then wrap the gourmet herb butter in plastic and place in the freezer. When it comes time to put the gourmet herb butter to use, you can simply cut out the amount that is necessary.
